Dr. Bill Y. Chen, Professor in Business Administration and CFO of the UWest, will give a guest lecture for Prof. Michael Eng’s class- MBA 558 Seminar on Doing Business in China. Dr. Chen will discuss whether China will be able to sustain its fast economic growth in coming two decades; and then explore future business opportunities in China.

 

Dr. Chen has been the Professor  at UWest since 1996; he was the Chair of the Department of Business Administration until September, this year. Now, he is the Chief Financial Officer of the University. He received his Master’s Degree in Management from Tianjin University, China and a Ph. D. with specialty in Finance from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Dr. Chen recently published several articles on China’s economy, government-owned enterprise reforms, and issues of China’s exports.

         

Mr. Michael Eng is the California State Assemblyman. He is teaching a special class at UWest this semester.  His class invites guest speakers with expertise in different subjects to discuss how to do business in China, including Hong Kong.
